How to play Mahjong Pyramid

Mahjong Pyramid is the classic tile-matching game played on a stepped pyramid. Four layers shrink towards a single tile at the top, and only tiles with a free left or right edge can be taken. Clear the whole pyramid against the clock.

• The board is four square layers stacked on top of each other, each smaller than the one below. The bottom layer is the largest and the top layer is the smallest.
• Take two identical tiles to remove them. Flowers match any other flower, and seasons match any other season.
• A tile can only be taken when it is free — nothing may be lying on top of it, and it must have a clear left or right edge.
• Work from the outside in. The outer ring of the bottom layer is always reachable; the tiles buried under the layers above open up only as you clear them.
• If no pairs remain, the board shuffles itself automatically. Clear every tile to win.
