What this site is, what it is not, and where our information comes from: an independent games site, not affiliated with any mahjong trademark holder, with no gambling and no stored scores.
The guides, rules summaries and strategy notes on MahjongBreak are written for casual players. They describe how we play and how the games on this site work. They are general information, not professional advice of any kind.
MahjongBreak is an independent site. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Microsoft, Activision, any publisher of a commercial mahjong or solitaire title, or any holder of the Mahjong trademark. "Mahjong" is the name of a traditional tile game; the layouts we use are traditional shapes that predate any software version.
Best scores and in-progress games are saved in your browser using local storage. Clearing your browser data, using private browsing, switching devices or switching browsers will lose them. We cannot recover them, because we never receive them.
This site earns money from advertising. Ads are supplied by third-party networks such as Google AdSense. Some pages also carry links to related products and services; where a link is an affiliate link we are paid a commission if you buy, at no extra cost to you. Commercial relationships never determine what our guides say.
MahjongBreak contains no real-money gambling. No game on this site offers cash prizes, wagering or anything of monetary value. In-game counters, timers and scores are for entertainment only and cannot be exchanged for money.
We check our guides against the games we ship, but rules variants differ between regions and between software versions. If a rule matters to you, check the official rules of the variant you are playing. Corrections are welcome through the contact page.
Links to outside sites and embedded content from other services are provided for convenience. We do not control them and are not responsible for what they contain or how they handle your data.
